Caring For Your Art

Care Of Your Bronze

Bronze is one of the most durable materials known to man, with many sculptures surviving from the antiquities to bear this fact out!

With a little care, your bronze sculpture from 83 Spring Street and Mark Hopkins can last a lifetime!

Bronze Kept Inside

Mark Hopkins recommends using Endust to keep your Bronze Sculpture shining like new.  Make sure this is a no-wax formulation.  Lemon scented is OK, and in fact is the only type available is some cases.

Use only a soft cloth, however a gentle toothbrush may aid in removing hard to reach dust in the nooks and crannies.   We have also had great success applying the Endust by hand, massaging it into the sculpture, and then wiping off the excess with a soft cloth.

Bronze Kept Outside

Those lucky enough to own a Life-Sized Mark Hopkins Sculpture can rest assured that it is made to withstand the rigors of  the outdoors environment.  We recommend giving your sculpture a coat of Johnsons Paste Wax once or twice a year to keep the shine up.
